Legend
The main legend connected with the Kailasanathar temple
revolves around a devotee of Shiva, Appoodi Adikal in the village of

regard and was hosting the saint poet.
During the time, his son bitten by a venomous snake died, but Appoodi
Adikal continued his service. Moved by the devotion the Saint prayed to the
Lord and restored the boy's life.
