Yadagirigutta Temple, Sree Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devastanam
Situated on a beautiful hillock in the Yadagirigutta Town,
Yadagirigutta Temple or Sree Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Devastanam is a
popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha Swamy. Lord Narasimha is also
known as Yadagiri, hence the temple came to known as Yadagirigutta.

Legend
According to the legends, Sage Yadarishi, son of the great
Sage Rishyasrunga and Santa Devi, was doing penance inside a cave with the
blessings of Lord Hanuman on the hill. Pleased with the devotion of Yadarishi,
Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu appeared before him in five
different forms as Sri Jwala Narasimha, Sri Yogananda, Sri Gandabherunda, Sri
Ugra and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha. These five forms are presently worshipped
within the temple. Hence the temple is known as Pancha Narasimha Kshetram.
Architecture
Yadagirigutta Temple is built in Dravidian style of
architecture. The sanctum is located in a cave, under a huge slating rock,
which covers half the abode. There is a golden Sudarshana Chakra glowing bright
above the sanctum of the cave temple.

The temple is open from 4:00 AM till 9:30 PM. In peak days
like Saturday & Sunday /festival days the temple will open one hour earlier
than the scheduled time.

There is no specific dress code. Devotees are requested to
be appropriately attired.

Temple Rituals
The Aradhanam and Puja in this temple are performed
according to Pancharatra Agamam. Before pilgrimage to Yadagirigutta, devotees
should pray to Lord Pancha Narasimha Swamy.

pradakshina will get cured of long standing ailments or chronic diseases.
