Legend
Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji who has dedicated His life to
our Sanatana Dharma, preaches the Bhakti marga (the path of Devotion) and the
greatness of our Vedic heritage. When Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji visited
Bangalore, His holiness happened to visit the land accompanied by a few
devotees from Bangalore. The devotees expressed their wish to have a patasala
and temple constructed at that site. The moment they mentioned it, Sri Swamiji
went into a deep meditative state for a while after which He said that the
entire area was filled with Lord Anjaneya's divine vibrations. Just as Sri
Swamiji said that, the most amazing thing occurred! A cloud in the exact shape
of Sri Anjaneya carrying the Sanjeevani Mountain had formed in the sky. The few
fortunate devotees who witnessed this spectacle were thrilled and were
speechless to say the least. From that moment on, there was no looking back as
Sri Anjaneya had arrived.
Architecture
The temple structure reflects Orissa style architecture. A
beautiful golden 'kalasam' mounted on top of a reminds one of Puri Jagannath Temple. The majestic yet
beautiful form of Lord Sundara Anjaneya leaves one breathless.
Culture
Kalkere village culture is simple, beautiful and secular.
The place is filled with lots of Hindu temples.
