On 11th July 1983, the Sri Ayyappa Temple was established in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. Devouts of Lord Ayyappa vist this place to pray to the lord as they believe that Ayyappa listens to all and fulfills all the wishes of His devouts.

The Shrine is managed by the Ayyappa Seva Sangham Bokaro Steel City Temple.This is one of the newly made Ayyappa Temples in India that was established on 1983. The shrine is devoted to Lord Ayyapa and also to Lord Ganesh , Lord Kartikey, Goddess Bhagavati, Lord Ram & Sita, Sri Kandararu Parameswaaru,and Sri Kandararu mahaeswararu of Tazhamon, and the mathom traditional priests of the Ayyappa.
