Legend
According to the temple legends, during the British time,
Sri Prasannagresara Puppala Ramanappa Naidu, a translator, who was working for
the British East India Company attended Sri Ramayana Pravachanam/Kalakshepam by
Sriman U.Ve Eunni Ramanujacharya Swamy. After the pravachanam is done , Sri
Ramanappa Naidu wanted to give Guru Dakshina to Sri Ramanujacharya Swamy and
Swamy asked him to construct AdiKesava Emberumaanar Swamy Kovela in Narsapuram
in parlance with Swamy Kovela in Sri Perumbudur. After six months, a new Thirumeni
is brought to Narsapuram in palanquin from Sriperumbudur and installed in the
temple. Few families of Sri Vaishnavas also migrated from Sriperumbudur to
perform the regular services of Emberumanar Swamy on par with Service in
Sriperumbudur.
