Shree Raghavendraswamy Temple
Located at Mantralayam, Kurnool, Raghavendraswamy Temple is
a famous pilgimage centre dedicated to Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy. Guru is considered to be a reincarnation of
Prahallada. The temple and "Mutt" complex is the main attraction in
Mantralayam. Near the entrance of the temple, there is a small shrine of
Manchalamma, a form of Goddess Parvati.

Legend
According to the legends, the temple is noted for the holy
presence of the Vrindavana (sacred burial) of Guru Raghavendra Swami, a Madhwa
saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya. The Guru attained Samadhi in 1671 AD.
People believe that Guru Raghavendra Swami will be in the Vrindavana alive for
another 700 years thus blessing the devotees.
Architecture
The main shrine is situated in a large building inside the
temple complex. The building has large verandah inside with administrative
blocks and Samadhi temple at the center of the building. The main shrine has
large hall with queue lines and inner sanctum housing Brundavan of Guru
Raghavendra.

to 9:00 PM.

Male devotees have to wear dhoti and for females it is
indian attire like sari, salwar kameez to enter the sanctum if they want to
perform pooja themselves.

Temple Rituals
Temple serves free meals as Prasadam to all devotees
visiting Mantralaya. Devotees should offer prayers at the Manchalamma Temple
