Situated in the heart of Navi Mumbai, Shiv Sai Mandir Pratishthan is one of the famous temples in NaviMumbai. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh and Lord Sai Baba. The temple was established by Mr. Vinod Bakhru (President),  Dr. J K Nath (Secretary) and Mr. Ramesh T Shetty (Treasurer). Built in 1994, the temple is 22 years old.

Legend

Mr. Vinod Bakhru, Dr. J K Nath, and Mr. Ramesh T Shetty were ardent devotees of Sai Baba. They wanted to build a temple for Sai Baba and decided to build it in Belapur, Navi Mumbai.  In 1994, Mr. Vinod Bakhru, Dr.J.K. Nath and Mr. Ramesh T Shetty, and other trust memebers like Mr. Ankush Kokate, Mr. Anant Pednekar and Mr. Laxman Kotekar finished the work of the temple with the help of other kind-hearted people from Navi Mumbai.

Architecture

The temple of Shiv Sai Mandir Pratishthan is situated in an almost-triangle compound. The temple have 3 doors. The temple houses the idols of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganpati and Lord Sai Baba. The interior of the temple is built using white marble. The temple was beautifully made by Mr. Vinod Bakhru, Dr. J K Nath, and Mr. Ramesh T Shetty with the help of architect Mr. P.S. Nadkarni (free of charge) and RCC consultant Ambike.

Everyday Aarti is performed at the temple at 5:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 7: 00 PM and 9:30 PM.

The temple is closed between 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Special Rituals

In Shiv Sai Mandir Pratishthan, various poojas like Sai Abhishek, Ganpati Abhishek, Mahadev Abhishek are performed. During the annual celebration, the idol of Sai Baba is brought in a Palki and Mahaprasad is given to the devotees. Diwali and Dussera festivals are celebrated here with pomp.

One of the special ritual of this temple is the Anndaan given to devotees every year on Vasant Panchami day. More than 10000 people visit the temple on this very day. The temple celebrates festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ram Navami, Gokulashtami, Ganesh Jayanti, Maha Shivratri. The whole temple would be fully decorated by flowers during all these festivals.
