Paschimesvara Siva Temple Bhubaneswar

The Temple of Paschimesvar is located at the south-western
embankment of the Bindusager Lake. Thus, the shrine is called as Paschimesvar
Mahadev Temple. The temple dates back to the 8th century AD. Today, this is a
dilapidated structure, but still the Shiva Lingam is regularly worshiped and
many priceless stone figures of Gods and Goddesses are scattered lose inside
the temple premise.
Architecture
The Paschimesvara Siva Temple is one of the ancient temples in Odisha, erected during the 8th Century AD. Even today the reminiscences of the Bhauma Epoch are witnessed from the dilapidated temple. The main god worshiped here is the Shiva Lingam. Detached sculptures of Goddess Parvathi, Lord Ganesha and Karthikeya are also found in the collapsed temple of the 8th century.
