The Temple of Dakshin Kali in Bhopal, dedicated to Goddess Kali, is one of the highly revered temples located in the state. Also called Kalighat, it was built by Shri Shiv Narayan Singh Bagwar in 1968. It is believed that all the Goddess fulfils all your wishes if you visit this place.

The temple holds great religious significance since it is believed that the Goddess herself gave her blessings to Shri Shiv Narayan Singh Bagwar to build the shrine in her name.

Architecture

Situated at the banks of Lower lake stands the shrine of Kali Mata. The shrine has a steep pyramidical roof and arched open walls. The sanctum contains the idol of the Goddess decked in a crown, jewellery and silk attire holding trishul in her hands.
