Gurugram Bhim Kund, Dronacharya temple
Gurugram Bhim Kund, also known as Pinchokhda Jhod, is a 10-acre wetland in Bhim Nagar locality of Gurgaon city in the state of Haryana. The mythological legend behind the pond has its roots in the epic Mahabharata. There is a small shrine dedicated to Guru Dronacharya nearby.Much of the lake has now been encroached upon. Today, the lake is maintained by the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG)

Legend
This area of Gurugram is associated with Guru
Dronacharya, the revered teacher of the
Kauravas and Pandavas, and his ashram. The saint is believed to have lived and
taught his disciples in the area.
Architecture
The pond is a 10 acre wetland though many parts have been
encroached upon. The temple has two rooms, with the idol of Dronacharya along
with statues of other gods and goddesses. The statue of Dronacharya is at the
centre of the temple. The walls of the temple have pictures of the scenes
depicting the guru teaching his disciples.
Culture
Gurugram has become a top financial and industrial hub with
a lots of leading companies having
offices there. The place is located bordering Delhi. Gurugram gets its name
from the legends of Guru Dronacharya associated with the place.
