One day Sri Ramanuja had a vision of Sri Govindaraja Swamy, in which the lord asked him to make arrangements for the Lord to reside in Tirupati. Next day, Sri Ramanuja went to the King and explained everything. They went to the place Sri Ramanuja saw in his dreams. To their surprise, they found an idol at that place. Ramanuja advised the king to built a temple for Lord Ramanuja at that place. Thus the temple came into existence.
