Legend
All the people from Belpada and Kopra Panchayat come here
and take permission from Ganesh Ji before doing anything important. In old
times, whenever somebody visits Kharghar, almost everybody felt that somebody
is following and protecting them. Almost everyone's wishes/ Mannat are
fulfilled here. An Audumbar tree which was standing nearby the idol,
miraculously shifted itself to the boundary of the temple compound. People from
different walks of life come and stay here, like Marshall, who came all the way
from Nagpur and stays here since years and does his BMS, without paying a
single penny. For Marshall, even his own parents comes after temple Adhyaksha,
Mr. Ramakrishna Gharat. Anyone can come and do their own Puja in both the
temples. Sai Baba Mandir itself is 150 - 200 years old and almost all the
people in the surrounding area consider Sai Baba as Kul Devta. Mr. Gharat's
mother used to serve food to every villager who visits Ganoba Mandir. Though
because of old age she couldnt continue doing so, she visits the Mandir at 5 AM
everyday even now. According to her, if you give God, he would definitely give
back.
In the so-called concrete jungle of Navi Mumbai, self-born
Audumbar / Peeple trees in the periphery
of both the temples is an other miracle. It is also said that even CIDCO earth
mover failed to demolish Ganoba Mandir. According to devotee Mr. Pankhe, before
the construction of current temple structure, when there was only the Ganoba
idol, one Naag used to reside in a nearby hole and guard the idol.
