Bheemalingeswara Temple
The Bheemalingeswara Temple is a temple located in Kaivara,
Karnataka, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shiva Linga in the temple was
established the Pandava, Bheem. Therefore, the deity here is known as
Bheemalingeshwara Swamy.

Legend
According to the legends, Pandava's stayed at the place
called as Ekachakrapura (presently known as Kaivara) during their exile. There
was a demon named Bakasur, who terrified the people of this place. Bheem killed
the demon at this place and restored peace. After killing the demon, Bheem did
the penance here by establishing a Shiva Linga. Later a temple was built here
and the deity here came to known as Bheemalingeshwara Swamy.
