Sri Karya Siddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha located at Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh. The deity in this temple is believed to be self-manifested and it is the second temple in Andhra Pradesh where Lord Vinayaka is self-manifested. The temple was built during the reign of Chalukya dynasty in 1200 AD and later renovated in 1956 AD. Mahasamprokshana was performed by Sri Chunduri Venkanna Panthulu in 1956. Bala Ganapathi Society developed the temple from 1975.

Legend

According to the legends, Lord Vinayaka was self-manifested at this place 200 years ago. Initially, devotees thought to install the idol of Lord Vinayaka in Shivalayam; however, they cannot completely take out the idol and they failed to find the trunk of Vinayaka as it is endless. The place where the people dug to unearth the idol came to be known as Enugu Bhode and at present it is being called as Paatha Cheruvu.

Architecture

The inner Sanctum of the temple is sculpted with idols of gods and goddesses. The temple also houses the santoshi Matha temple within the temple complex. The idol of Ganesha is made of white marble.
