Legend

According to the legends, once Lord Devendra attempted to force his entry to meet Lord Shiva while the Lord was alone with his consort. The Dwarapalaka Nandi resisted Devendra and kicked Devendra on his chest. Devendra became unconscious and in that state he dreamt that the pain in his chest will be relieved after installing the idol of God Son. After regaining consciousness, Devendra installed the idol at this temple.

Architecture

Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple was completely built in the Odisha style of architecture. The temple was constructed in a such way that the Sun rays fall on the feet of the Main Deity through the Five entrance gates of the temple.
