Sree Kota Sattemma Ammavari Temple
Situated at Nidadavolu of West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, Kota Sattemma Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Goddess Sattemma, a form of Goddess Shakti. The temple was constructed by Chalukya Veerabadhra, the spouse of Rudrama Devi. The idol was later found in 1934 by Devulapalli Rama Murthy Sastri in his land and later he constructed the temple.

Legend
According to the legends, Sri Devulapalli Rama Murthy Sastry
was plugging his lands. With the help of villagers, he constructed the terraced
building with compound walls for installing the idol. The temple was later
developed by prominent Arya Vysyas of Nidadavole.
Architecture
The temple was constructed based on Vengi Chalukyan style of
architecture. Built in 3.08 acres of land, the temple has a Aniveti mandapa and
Prakara mandapa. The idol of main deity is of 10 feet high with abhayahastha
mudra. The temple has accommodation facilities in 3 buildings and 3 line sheds
having total 74 rooms and a shopping complex.

West Godavari is well known for its wool-pile carpets and
hand woven products.There are many landmarks and tourism destinations in the
