Dedicated to Goddess Ashtalakshmi : eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi, Ashtalakshmi Temple is located between Dilsukh Nagar and LB Nagar, in Vasavi Colony near Kothapet (NH 9) in Hyderabad. The temple houses the eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi and they are Adilakshmi, Aishwaryalakshmi, Santanalakshmi, Dhanalakshmi, Dhanyalakshmi, Gajalakshmi, Vijayalakshmi and Varalakshmi. The temple was consecrated in April 1996 by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

The Temple was consecrated in April 1996 with the guidance of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. It took around 5 years to construct this magnificent temple with a total expenditure of 20 million rupees approximately.

Architecture

The temple’s structure and design are conceived by well-known architect, Padmashri S.M. Ganapati Sthapathi, and M. Mathiyalagan Sthapathi. The Maha Gopuram was sculpted with about 134 idols of gods. The temple was built using sand and cement. The idols are adorned with gold and kasula Peru necklace and other necklaces.
