Naulakha Temple Deoghar
Located at Deoghar, Jharkhand, Naulakha Temple is a temple
dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. The temple was built under the supervision
of Rani Charushila Devi in 1940. Rani donated 9 Lakh Indian Currency to build
the temple. This is the reason why the temple of Radha Krishna is known as
Naulakha Temple.

Legend
Queen Charushila of Pathuria Ghat King's family from Kolkata
was grieving the untimely death of her husband Akshay Ghosh and son Jatindra
Ghosh. One day when she was wandering in the Tapovan, she met Saint Balananda
Brahmachari who later on guided the queen to find solace and asked her to build
this magnanimous temple of Radha and Krishna. Today, this is one of the
significant temples of Deoghar and a work of art that entice people visiting
the shrine.
Architecture
Located at a distance of 2 km from the main town, the
Naulakha Mandir/Temple stands to be one of the greatest attractions for not
only the pilgrims to Jharkhand but also for the tourists visiting Deoghar,
Jharkhand. The architecture of the temple dedicated to Radha and Krishna has resemblance to that of
the Ramakrishna Math Belur. The deities are consecrated inside the sanctum
sanctorum and the height of the temple is 146 ft.
Culture

and people exhibit the true essence of Jharkhand's culture. This new Indian
