Located in a small and prosperous village called Balabhadrapuram in Bikkavolu Mandal of East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Shirdi Sainath temple is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Sai Baba. The foundation stone for the temple was laid on 20th February 2003 by then Anaparti MLA Sri Nallamilli Moola Reddy and Satyavati and the temple was completed on 17 February 2008. The temple was inaugurated by Sri Sri Sri Swami Satya Sadananda Prabhuji, Founder of Sri Saidhamam Sevasramam.

Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is widely worshipped as an Indian yogi, Baba and fakir by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees. Shirdi Sai Baba is believed to have lived from 28th September 1838 to 15th October 15, 1918 at Shirdi Village of Maharashtra. According to the temple legends, S. Veera Venkata Krishna Purushothama Reddy and his wife Anasuya were ardent devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba. They wished to have a temple for Baba in their village and moved the proposal of building a temple. The construction of Shri Shirdi Sai Temple in Balabhadrapuram was completed in the year 2004 by the devotees of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. It took 9 years for the completion of the temple. The statue of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba was laid in this temple on 17th February 2004.

Architecture

Based on modern style of architecture, the temple has a statue of Sai Baba of Shirdi that was erected on 17 February 2005.The temple gopuram is same as shiridi sai baba temple. The temple has marble flooring. Inside the temple premises, there is a small temple of Goddess Chakra (form of raja rajeshwari devi). The idol of the goddess is made of white marble. The temple walls are sculpted with lots of idols of hindu gods and goddesses.

Culture

The culture of East Godavari district is a rich traditional one in all parts of the district, and reflects the true culture of Andhra Pradesh. It is known for Veda-pandits, the Godavari River and the hospitality of the people. The Telugu language originated in this district (in Rajahmundry or Rajamahendri).
