Sri Vaithamanidhi Permual Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi., nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamil Nadu, India in the southern bank of Thamiraparani river.Thirukkolur is located at a distance of 4 km from Alwarthirunagari.This is the eighth temple of Nava thirupathi and is for mars (Sevvai). According to the legends, Kubera once visited Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Shiva cursed Kubera as he set evil glance on Parvati due to which kubera lost his prominence. The Nava Nidhis (9 kinds of wealth ) left Kubera and came to Lord Vishnu. Realizing his mistakes, Kubera went to Thirukkolur to do his penance. Sri Vaitha Manidhi Perumal temple is built in Dravidian style of architecture. Timings : The temple is open from 7:30 AM till 12:00 PM and from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM.
Male devotees have been advised to wear dhoti, shirt, pyjama or pant and shirt while women and girls should wear saris or churidhar or 'pavadai' with half-sari. Devotees wearing lungi, bermudas, jeans and tight-leggings would not be allowed.

Srivaikuntam railway station is situated on the Tirunelveli-Tiruchendur line. All passenger trains from Tirunelveli stop at this station. The temple is about 1.5 miles from the railway station.
Srivaikuntam is also well connected by road with Tirunelveli, Tiruchendur and Tuticorin and all other major cities.
