Thirunattalam Sankaranarayanan Temple

The temple epitomises the belief that Shiva and Vishnu are two parts of the single Supreme. The shrine is the twelfth and last in the Shivalaya ottam sequence. It is only after worshipping Vishnu at the Shankara narayanan temple, the divine run is considered to be complete.
Legend
Vyakrapadan, the Shiva devotee was chasing Bhima who was chanting Lord Vishnu's name. The legend of the temple states that Shiva and Vishnu gave darshan together to Vyakrapadan here at Thirunattalam to make him understand that both of them are one.
This temple is part of the famous Shivalaya Ottam.
Architecture
The Thirunattalam Sankaranarayanan Temple has two shrines on either side of the vast temple pond.The first temple is the shrine for Sankaranarayanan while the second is the shrine for Ardhanareeshwara. The temple is constructed in Kerala style, made of stone with tiled roof. Pillars with sculptures adorn around the temple. There is a kodimaram in front of the temple

Thirunattalam Sankaranarayanan Temple timings :5.00 AM to 11.00 AM and 5.00 PM to 8.00 PM.The temple is a part of the famed Shivalaya ottam conducted during Shivratri. It is the twelfth and the last temple in the run sequence.

Devotees are advised to wear clean and traditional clothing. Western attire are not allowed in the temples of Tamil Nadu

Culture
