Legend

According to the myths, Mathura was attacked for about 17 times by the king of Magadha, Jarasandha and people of Mathura courageously fought under the guidance of Lord Krishna. However, after the demise of Hans and Dhimak, Jarasandha again developed an army and attacked Mathura for 18th time. A member of Yadava family named Vikrendu told the vicious truth that the attacks in Mathura are occurring due to lord Krishna. The people of Mathura suffered a lot and there are threats for more attacks from Jarasandha. Hence, for the advantages of the people of Mathura, lord Krishna was asked to leave the town and the father of Lord Krishna, Vasudev also supported the words of Vikrendu in the assembly.
