Temple

Shri Someshwar Shiv Mandir, Vashi

Maharashtra, Mumbai suburban, Mumbai

Temple was first built in 1980 and redeveloped in 2007 by contribution of everyone in and around the area where the temple is located - includes contribution of 1 Lakh by the temple architect himself - with the special interest of Hon. Ex minister Ganeshji Naik. Jaipur-made Idols have been used in the construction of the temple.

Legend

This is a very ancient temple of Lord Siva, who is here in the name of Jagruteswar . Interestingly, the yoni of the lingam here keeps increasing in size and currently is relatively fairly bigger than the lingam itself . Infact the name Jagruteswar is because the Lord here is awake and is growing. Keen observers, even today, realize this growth in the size of the yoni.

Architecture

The structure follows modern architectural theme.
