Kamalsagar Kali Temple

The beautiful Kamalasagar Kali Temple was built by Maharaja Manikya Bahadur in 15th century and it was completed around the 17th century by the local rulers. Here the deity of Mahishasurmardini made of sandstone is consecrated. As Mahadev is there under the feet of Goddess Dasabhuja Durga here, the temple is called Kali temple.
Legend
Though, no such legend is there to mention, yet the local hindus consider this temple to be very auspicious. Devotees arrive here with the hope and prayers of fulfilling their wishes.
Architecture
The red colored temple of Devi Mahisasurmardini is built in the typical Tripura style of architecture. Though, reminiscences of Bengal style of temple architecture are also prominent here. The idol of Devi Duga Dashabhuja, made of sandstone is consecrated there inside the sanctum sanctorum.

The devotees can visit the temple in the morning and in the evening. According to the local people, visiting the temple in the evening is a different experince. Pilgrims can get a view of the aarti that is offered to Maa Kali during the evening time grandly.
