Located in Bhakti Dham Mangarh, Kunda, Bhakti Mandir was established by the world's fifth Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj in November 2005. The temple was maintained by the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, a non-profit, charitable, educational and spiritual organisation. Bhakti Mandir, meaning "The Abode of Devotion", is a stone, hand-carved temple, standing 108 feet tall and built with pink sandstone, white marble and black granite. The foundation stone of Bhakti Mandir was laid on October 26, 1996 and was inaugurated in November 2005. The temple is built exactly at the place where Jagadguru Shri KMaharaj Ji descended to open His eyes to grace the innumerable souls.
Legend
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj (lovingly called Shri Maharaj Ji by His devotees), the founder of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, dedicated his entire life to inspiring souls on the path of devotion to God through enlightening discourses and chanting of the holy name. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj truly was the personified form of divine love. His natural scholarliness inspired trust in even the greatest intellectuals, while his tremendous love, causeless grace and endless compassion melted the hearts and inspired devotional love in all who came near him. His satsang was divinely exhilarating and unbelievably joyous.
Architecture
Bhakti Mandir is the first temple in the world to stand on granite pillars. This temple is 108 feet tall from the ground to the golden flag on the top of the temple. The temple is built of pink stone on the outside and marble on the inside, which showcases its exceptional artwork. All the outer walls are made from elegantly carved sandstone. Beautiful life sized Deities of Radha Krishna and delicately carved Dieties of the Ashta Mahasakhis (8 eternal and closest friends of Radha Rani) encircle the main hall on the ground floor. Equally beautiful life sized Deities of Sita Ram, Radha Rani and Krishna Balram are present on the first floor.
