Ayyappa Temple Madiwala

The madiwala Ayyappa Swamy Temple situated in the heart of garden city Bangalore, was started as a small Bhajana Mandir in the year 1977. The prathishta (Installation Ceremony) of Lord Ayyappan in Panchaloha idol was conducted in 1997 under the guidance of Sabarimala Thantri Brahmasri Neelakantararu. Later in the year 2007 installation of Panchaloha Dhwajasthambam,Navagraha and Naga was done in the presence of sabarimala Thantri Kantararu Mohanaruru. Mahakumbabhishekam was conducted at the same time. The other deities in the Temple are Lord Ganapathy, Lord Subramanya,Lord Vishnu,Lord Siva and Devi. Lord Madiwala Ayyappan is also well known as Kulanthai Daivam (Children’s God).

Architecture

The temple consists of the a sanctum sanctorum with a copper-plated roof and four golden finials at the top. The architectural principles of Kerala temple architecture has been followed in making the Temple.
