Situated in the heart of the Navi Mumbai, Vashi Vaikundam Shri Guruvayurappan Temple is a famous temple deicated to Lord Guruvayurappan. With the bountiful blessings of Lord Guruvayurappan, a group of devotees found the Shri Guruvayurappan Bhakta Samaj in 1966, which was registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act (1960) under certificate No. A-2757 (Bombay). The Samaj was subsequently resolved to construct a temple for Lord Guruvayurappan with manyfold objectives of spiritual and cultural centre for the pursuit and propagation of spiritual knowledge and promoting the spirit of brotherhood and selfless service to humanity. With due emphasis on the above said objectives and as a preliminary step, a plot of land measuring about 497 sq.mtr was acquired in May 2000 from CIDCO, at Plot 59A, Sector 29, Vashi, Navi Mumbai 400703. With full confidence and along with the abundant blessings of Lord Guruvayurappan and the excellent leadership qualities of the then Secretary and founder trustee Shri VK Narayan and of course with the excellent support of the devotees, a Balalayam was constructed in 2006. Slowly and steadily the structural work of the first floor was taken up in the first phase and was completed in 2006. The Balalayam was consecrated on 2nd February 2006 with adequate religious ferver under the guidance of our thantri Shri Pottakuzhi Narayanan Namboodiri. Again the Committee with full confidence and full support of the devotees marched forward and completed the second phase in 2009. With the completion of temple complex, the consecration of idols and samprokshanam for four revered sannidhis was planned between 22-1-2010 and 2-2-2010. The Prana Prathishta of the Sannidhis was done on 27th January 2010.
