Sri Talupulamma Ammavari Temple

Andhra Pradesh, East Godavari

Located in Nandivampu, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, Sri Thalupulamma Talli temple is a temple dedicated to Sri Talupulamma Ammavaru. Situated on a hillock between Darakonda and Teegakonda hills, the temple is popular among devotees who own a new vehicle as the owners of new vehicles seeks blessing at this temple.

Legend

According to the legends, the great Sage Agastya settled down at this place and meditated. It is believed that he used to eat fruits and drink water from these mountains and he named these mountains as Darakonda and Teegakonda.

Architecture

There is a long and steep flight of steps starting from the ornate entrance getaway that leads up to the sanctum of Goddess Thalupulamma Thalli. The internal walls of the temple are sculpted with lots of images of god and goddesses. There is a Ganesh idol placed in the middle of the temple steps.

Talupulamma Talli Lova Temple is ensconced between two hillocks which are covered by forests and the view down the valley below is simple remarkable. BY ROAD:
1. The nearest bus station is at Tuni. Bus frequency is quite from Thuni to Temple.
2. Temple is 10 km from Tuni and 4 km from National High. Sri Talupulamma Ammavari Devasthamam is located 70 Km from Kakinada, 106 Km from Rajahmundry, and 176 Km from Amalapuram (via Rajahmundry) and 8 km from Tuni. The temple is situated about 6 Km adjacent to NH-5 and about 8 Km from Tuni Railway station. And from there only bus transportation is available and that too special. The nearest railway stations are Tuni and Annavaram. One must make sure that the trains stop here as this is a two way broad gauge route and most of the trains are super-fast. Though one can travel by road with a lot of options available, renting a vehicle will always the best option to reach this Temple.

  1. The temple owns Cottages totally consists of 28 Rooms being let out by the Devasthanam to the pilgrims/Devotees visiting Ammavari Temple. There are no Guest Houses to accommodate pilgrims. Famous Festival

The important festival celebrated in this temple falls in Chaitra Masam (March/April) every year, in Bahula Vidhiya, Tadhiya, for a period of about 15 days and also during Aashadha Maasam (June/July).
