Sri Karmanghat Hanuman /Anjaneya Temple

Situated in Karmanghat, Telangana, Karmanghat Hanuman / Anjaneya Temple is one of the oldest and popular temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Here, Lord Hanuman is also known as Dhyana Anjaneya. The temple was built in 12th century AD. Other than the presiding deity, the temple complex also houses the shrines of Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswathi, Goddess Durga, Goddess Santoshimata, Lord Venugopala Swamy, and Lord Jagannath.

According to the legends, once a Kakatiya king went for hunting and he decided to rest under a tree for some time. At that time, he heard the chanting of Lord Rama's name and while searching for the source of the voice, the King discovered a stone idol of Lord Hanuman in seated posture. Architecture

The temple is facing east. Other than the main deity, the temple houses many other shrines. The temple walls are sculpted with idols of gods and goddesses. The temple stories are written on black marble stone and placed on the temple area.
