Culture

Chandigarh was designed as well as built by a French architect Le Corbusier during the 1950’s.  After independence, it is the first city which was designed in a modern style on a single grid.  The architecture of Chandigarh is an example of art and culture.  When it comes to creativity, Le Corbusier has tried his best to introduce new ideas that have really added a new charm to its design. If you want to explore the real architecture, you can have a look at some of the old monuments and you will surely be surprised with the kind of art that is done on them.  People from different countries come to explore this modern city which is known for its temples, mosques, shrines, historical places, gardens and lots more.
